Gender Diversity & Intersex Centre of Expertise
Gender Diversity & Intersex Centre of Expertise offers its services to all trans and intersex persons and their close ones in Finnish, Swedish and English. Centre offers face-to-face counselling and support via email and phone. All services are confidential and free of charge. We are located at LGBT Rights in Finland (Seta) office at Helsinki (Pasilanraitio 5, 2nd floor). There is a dressing space at the office where it is possible to change and do your make up. The space is available during opening hours and on peer group nights.
Trasek
Trasek is a national organization for trans and intersex persons. Trasek specializes in human rights issues and helping trans and intersex persons with problems in gender related bureaucratic issues and the medical care system, but also offers free and confidential support with other issues. We also have social gatherings, ask us for details! Currently there is e.g. a peer support group for intersex persons and bar meetings. Email: neuvonta@trasek.fi.
The national helpline Sinuiksi
Sinuiksi helpline deals with sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. You can talk about minority stress, identity or coming out process (closet anxiety) and social pressure. The service is available on Mondays and Thursdays from 7 pm to 9 pm. You can also contact Sinuiksi by e-mail. Helpline workers are professionals specialized among others in sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.

Sexpo
Sexpo is able to provide counselling in matters of sexuality, relationships and sexual rights to asylum seekers, but also to volunteers that work with asylum seekers. We can provide counselling by phone, internet (www.sexpo.fi) or face to face at our office.
The Finnish Association for Mental Health provides crises assistance and support in order to prevent mental health problems and suicides.
Helsinki Pride Community offers councelling and peer support for lgbtiq*- asylum seekers and people with a refugee background. New group for foreigners and refugees ”TOGETHER” started in the beginning of October 2015. If you want to join, please contact us. More information about the group here. LGBT Helsinki meetings are volunteer led peer support meetings available 2-3 times a month. HPY’s office is at Tallberginkatu 1 C 4krs, 00180 Helsinki.
Oulu regional Seta (Oulun Seta) have few volunteers who give social support to all LGBTI people, especially to refugees. Voluteers can meet you confidentially, escort you to different events, hobbies and places and stand by you when you meet f.ex. authorities. Rainbow Families (Sateenkaariperheet) is the association for lesbian, gay, bisexual, intersex and trans parents and their children in Finland. Sateenkaariperheet give advice on family matters by email: info@sateenkaariperheet.fi.
The Finnish Immigration Service (Migri)
Migri is an agency under the Ministry of the Interior that processes and decides on matters related to immigration, residence, refugee issues and Finnish nationality.
Refugee Advice Center (Pakolaisneuvonta)
Pakolaisneuvonta provides legal couselling for asylum seekers, refugees and other immigrants in Finland. It is also an independent, non-governmental organization promoting the rights of asylum seekers and refugees in Finland and following the asylum policy of the European Union.
